iKids After School Care at Summitt
iKids U offers a variety of onsite after-school enrichment and care at Summitt Elementary. Students have the opportunity to participate in engaging, hands- on, STEAM based, recreational and creative activities until 6:00 PM, including Junior Chefs, Junior Science, Art, Drama, Brain Games, Chess and One-on-One Tutoring services! Mythology, Mushrooms & The Infinity House
Join us as we explore Garden Follies and Alphabet Houses, the Infinity House in an extinct volcano and the Mushroom House from a Chinese folk tale. Coding Club Class
Second Session Thursdays: 3:15 - 4:15pm, Mar 27 - May 22Coding Club is not just about coding but it will cover broader topics like typing, Internet safety, and technology literacy. What is a computer and its history? What is ChatGPT, bluetooth, the cloud, and cookies? We will learn these topics through fun games or videos or coding projects. Students will be grouped by age and will learn age-appropriate content. Older students may be introduced to the binary system and younger students will be introduced to mouse skills.
Coding Club will introduce students to Scratch, a drag and drop block coding platform and community that will allow them to create games, stories, and animations. K-1st graders will learn to use Scratch Jr for pre-readers.
Young Rembrandts
Thursdays: 3:20 - 4:20pm, January 16th - March 6th Grades: 1st - 5th
