Hello Summitt Families!
I hope everyone is enjoying these final weeks of summer and staying cool! I am excited to meet everyone soon and open up the 2025-26 school year in a couple of weeks. I have included some important information as you begin preparing your Eagle for the start of school.
For those of you new to Summitt, WELCOME! We are so excited to have you join our amazing community. This newsletter includes everything you need to know before the Meet the Teacher Event on Thursday, August 14th. I will send another message before school starts that will include other important information, such as specific arrival and dismissal procedures.
I’m hoping to see some of you at our Meet and Greet on Monday, August 4th at 5:30 pm. Both assistant principals, Mr. Bradley and Ms. Cantrell, will be there with me to chat with new and returning families. Please plan to use the entrance facing Brigadoon because the new space is not ready yet. Then, we look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of short weeks on August 14th for Meet the Teacher from 3:30pm-5:00pm! You are welcome to bring your school supplies at this time.
If you do not receive an email by the evening of August 13th, that probably means your child is not fully registered for the school year. If you have not yet registered for the upcoming school year, please do so NOW. Go to https://www.austinisd.org/enroll to register today! Ms. Nicole Erickson, our registrar, is available for anyone who needs help with registration. For those that need to finish up the registration process and submit documentation, please contact her as soon as possible at Nicole.Erickson@austinisd.org. We want to ensure your student has been placed in a class!
